Bio:

A Tuathan mercenary hailing from inland Tir Nan Og, Brem the Bastard (both named for his illegitimacy and habit for poor taste in practical jokes) stands at 5’6”, short raven-black hair and an enviable beard plaited to forks.

But the eye is not drawn to this first, but instead to the blue tattoos that adorn his body from head to toe and there are few spaces left blank, giving him a frightful visage to the unwary and announcing to all and sundry his Tuathan heritage.

Always eager for fame and fortune, he soon found his way to Cadoccia to fight for the cause with the biggest purse, quickly becoming a veteran of the innumerable sorties amongst the feuding Cadoccian peninsula’s city-states. It was during this time he made the acquaintance of a certain disreputable Cadoccian, in whom his own dirty habits were reflected.

The two men-for-hire swathed a path of destruction, adulteration, petty-theft and drunken adventures across Cadoccia until they were suddenly separated when a battle unexpectedly turned against them and they were routed. Feeling a need to recuperate, he made his way back to Tir Nan Og on the little remaining money he had. Not long after his arrival in the heartlands, King Hamish I made war upon the Emerald Isle and Brem armed himself to repel the foreign aggressors.

After distinguishing himself at several key battles, Brem was summoned to the court of Queen Mab and a job offer was made to be the bodyguard for Tuatha dignitaries visiting overseas on diplomatic missions. It was on the latest such foray, guarding a bastard of royal blood with a hold full of coin destined to purchase an alliance with another Europa power, that the Albion navy chanced upon them and made chase for days on such a key ship. Nearing the New World and the tropical storms associated, the ship drove itself upon submerged rocks and sank, taking near the entire crew.

Surely only the luck of the gods could let any survive such an ordeal, but survive he did and found himself shipwrecked upon the jungled shore of the New World, a dozen spear-points in his face.

The skills he learnt from the negotiators he protected, his weapon abilities and some kind of unbelievable luck somehow managed to convince his primitive captors of his value. To this end, Brem found himself living with the people of the Emerald River and learning their ways for close to 8 months, until he finally found his way to Point Verdaine where he encounters our intrepid party.

His vow to the defence of Tir Nan Og compels him to return to Dubh Linn at all costs to make his report to the Crown of the incident that befell the ship.

RIP – Death by dragon.
