The New World
The second largest of the islands of the The Arawak Sea after Cubana. In another world this mass of volcanic rock might have been called Hispaniola. The western end is known as Hata, the larger eastern end (and centre) is an Iberian possession, known as El Dio. The capital, analogous to Santo Domingue is eponymous, so that the principal port and place of settlement in El Dio is also called El Dio.
